Monitoring CPU Temperature

Termometer

I am currently on a kind of pissed moment because my laptop’s fan isn’t working even after I disassembled and cleaned it.  I even poured a little of motor oil in it just to make it turn smoothly but it doesn’t work.  My laptop suddenly shuts down and makes me repeat on doing whatever progress I have started.  It shuts down because whenever the CPU is very busy it generates a lot of heat (~60-70 °C)and one of its fallback

Gpick A Color Picker for Linux

gpick color picker

Gpick is an advanced color picker written in C++ using GTK+ toolkit. This application is an alternative for window’s colorpic. One feature I like about this application is the same feature I found on window’s colorpic which shows a magnifier of the area where you want to capture the color. ubuntu

image from www.qortuba.org These are some of the tools and commands I use to clean up my ubuntu powered laptop. Cleaning Downloaded and Uninstalled Packages and Dependencies As what I have observed in using ubuntu, most packages are not ready after installation though most of the applications can be downloaded freely from the internet. Just like windows os we need to download packages from trusted sources, and for ubuntu we have the synaptic package manager which helps us which applications
