Of all the Computer Parts the Processor is the most expensive and the most important part.  It Plays a great role in processing all your needs.  Like in a human body it serves as the brain, everything that a computer does is being processed by the Processor or also known as the CPU or the Central Processing Unit. Monitoring it is important to keep it healthy and always working.  I’m quite sure that we don’t want to buy another processor to get things up again unless you are upgrading.

Not taking care of your CPU is very risky and gives you a lot more trouble.  Too much heat can shorten your CPU’s lifespan, at times your computer suddenly freezes without any reason, it suddenly restarts or the CPU can burn because of too much heat exhaustion .  This are few of the effects of not taking good care of your CPU.

Backing up is also one of the important things to do because portable computers deal mostly with wear and tear than desktops, which can cause a failure on the hard drive.  Make sure to backup your date regularly.  Laptops also are more prone to viruses especially when you are using Windows as your Operating System.  So that are some of the tips I can share you with regarding handling and optimizing your laptops.

On the image you can set whatever programs you want to start when you turn on your computers.  On my Laptop whats running after turning on is the SynTPStart this is for my touch Pad Driver, I also have Rainlendar runnig on my computer and this is the best calendar for XP so far I have used.  cftmon is a windows application that is on startup, GoogleToolbarNotifier this is a notifier that whenever the default toolbar is not google it gives me a prompt if whether I still want google to be my main toolbar.  and the lasting is I have btdna running on my system this is a bittorent application used when I download movies, music and other big files downloaded in one time.

And also virus are also ran after logging in so that is why most virus disables the MSCONFIG command on the computer.  If not disabled and you can see applications ran on startup you can always uncheck the button and if you think the applications ran are not important you can uncheck them all.  If you want a twaek to improve the booting of your computer, Go to Start Menu and Click Run, Type in “Regedit” then click ok.  Find “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Dfrg\BootOpt imizeFunction” and on the right Select “Enable”.  right click on the item and select modify, Change the value to “Y”.  Then restart your computer and this should do the trick.

File types are like embedded signatures, telling the operating system that this type of file can be opened by this  software or program and also to  associate with it properly.  A  file extension is one or several letters at the end of a filename. Usually three or four letters,  Filename extensions usually follow a period (dot) and indicate the type of information stored in the file.  One good example is “Warcraft III.exe” the .exe file extension this means that Warcraft III is an executable program file.  “.exe” file extensions are sometimes dangerous to open especially when you don’t know the file.  If you have files such as “.exe”, better not open it because some of this types are viruses and this can surely ruin your entire operating system especially for Microsoft Windows.

To show hide your file extension for windows is just go and open My Computer then click Tools menu and click Folder Options and click the View tab.  You should have the same as the image below:

If you want to show file extensions then you can always check the box and click apply.  Conversely, you can uncheck it if you dont want to see the file extension.

One disadvantage of this for most users is that when you rename the file and the extension is remoced the file will no longer work.  One example is that when you have a “example.doc” which is a MS Word File  and rename it to “myproject” the file will not work unless you write the file extension.  Renaming it back to “myproject.doc” will rename the file and will work on .doc editing software.

1. Restart your if its is turned on, if not start up your compute
2. watch carefully for the message on how to enter your Bios settings (like pressing F2 or the Del key), and you should press the correct key.  The message usually is the first message displayed on the lower part of the screen.

When you are on the Bios settings, find the boot sequence option.  Go into it(usually press the enter button but there are directions bellow or on the side) and select the CD Drive as the first bootable option.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   CAUTION: False move or wrong changes inside your bios  can seriously affect your computer’s operation.  Take extra careful and make sure you only edit the boot sequence settings.
4. You should save the settings for the changes to take effect.  This usually done by pressing F10 and press Y(for Yes) to save the changes.

Intel  DX58SO

Given the Core i7′s performance, DX58SO might have been more appropriate. But at least the board looks like a proper enthusiast offering. It comes draped in a black and blue color scheme that looks pretty good, and Intel hasn’t gone overboard with its little skull logos. The first thing you’ll notice about the DX58SO is its unconventional layout. The DIMM slots have been placed parallel to the top edge, the north bridge chip to the right of the CPU socket, and the processor’s voltage circuitry across the middle of the board. This arrangement is unique among the X58 boards that we’ve seen thus far, and some of it’s quite clever. By now you’ve no doubt noticed that the DX58SO is entirely without heatpipes—a pleasant change of pace given the tangled networks of copper we’ve seen on many enthusiast boards. How do we delete undeletable files in windows?

There are files that windows don’t allow us to delete especially when the file is currently being used.  This is a good thing  if it isn’t a malware or any virus.  The question is how do we delete windows files that does not allow us?

Click the Start menu, select Run, and type CMD to bring up the Command Prompt. Now hit CTRL-ALT-DEL to open the Task Manager. Under the Processes tab, highlight explorer.exe and click End Process. ALT-Tab your way to the Command Prompt and then navigate to the directory of the fi le you’re trying to delete using the CD command (cd C:\Program Files\installers). Where installers is the folder name or the filename.  Next, use the delete command to delete the offending file (del installers.exe or del installers if it is a folder). ALT-Tab back to the Task Manager, select New Task under File, and type explorer.exe to bring back the Windows shell. Windows tweak:

The first thing to do is you have to terminate the process form running on your computer secondly you have to change the name of the files that are running the process. Then change your desktop back to what you where using before.

Right click on your task bar, click on task manager, click process tab look for the process with the name “wgatray.exe” right click on it and click end process tree, a warning message will appear click yes, the process will be terminated. Then double click on my computer, double click drive C: double click windows folder, double click system 32 folder, look for two files, “wgatray.exe”. When you locate the file, right click on the file and rename them to whatever you want. Then restart your computer. Your computer should be in good state now.

Recently Microsoft has modified the notification such that if this notification also changes your computer wallpaper and background color to black. After removing the notification simply change you desktop wallpaper again.

Sometimes this modified windows genuine advantage notification also initiates the Wgatray.exe process immediately after you end the process. To solve this problem download process terminators that will kill it process permanently for you to be able to change the name of wgatray.exe in the system 32 folder.
