I think you missed the words “only once”, the phrase used was “DVD+R can record data only once”, which means it can only be used once unlike the RW’s which is re-writable

“A DVD+R can record data only” what do you mean by this? I can create and burn movies to it and burn OS setup too. What are other formats aside from DATA format you mean?

Address in Pregroove is less susceptible to interference and error making more accurate compared to Land Pre Pit on high speed.

DVD+R and DVD-R is not 100% the same. There are some aspect that made them different and one is the system being used to track and control the speed.
DVD+R uses the Address In Pregroove while DVD-R uses Land Pre Pit.

if dvd+r and dvd-r are basically almost the same, what is the relevance of indicating minus(-) and plus(+) signs with respect thier formats?
